Why we don't use essential oils in our baby oil

The long-term effects of daily essential oil use are still not completely understood. For instance, lavender essential oil can actually make babies' skin more sensitive to sun. It may affect their developing hormonal system, as certain chemical components of lavender mimic the body's own hormones. So, at Softress, we think it's safest to avoid all chemicals, even natural ones, in products for baby's skin.

A note on treating baby eczema

Unless baby eczema is caused by an identifiable food or environmental allergy, it's a condition without a known “cure.” We at Softress feel SoftBaby provides a gentle treatment for baby eczema, but we won't call it a cure.
